Memories and Gratitude: A Story of Faith and Blessings

When our two daughters were 2 and 4 years old, we lived in Costa Rica. One of the special purchases we made for them was a custom-painted chair, featuring their names incorporated into the artwork. We allowed the girls to use these chairs, and despite the years that have passed, these chairs have withstood the test of time.

Last night, we received a photo of our granddaughter, who had just climbed into a chair by herself for the very first time. She’s almost a year old. And here's the truly heartwarming part—this was the same little chair we bought for her mother in Costa Rica 28 years ago!

When I saw that picture, memories flooded my mind. Not all memories are pleasant, but the vast majority of mine are beautiful! These memories also remind me of how God has walked with me, guiding and blessing me throughout my life.

It’s not hard to love and praise God when we take the time to remember all He has done for us. As I rush through my busy week, I pray that I will pause and remember Him—remember His faithfulness and blessings.

Deuteronomy 8:18: "But remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms His covenant, which He swore to your ancestors, as it is today."
